Day 208 - Final Office FFing

So I have posted about my epic Office FFing that I have done before...however there was one part that I didn't get around to doing as it was another mammoth effort within itself and after spending forever doing the main part I really couldn't be bothered. That was the black shelving along the wall that was filled with all of our CD's/DVD's/Videos (yes kids, we are THAT old and had videos back in the day) along with any other crap that we feel like housing along the way. ;)

Anyways, today Hubs woke-up and deceided to get his clean on and when he gets it on, he will not stop until everything is done and was like we need to clean-out EVERY room one by one and that of course entailed the beasty shelves. Knowing that one day we were going to have to tackle it, I had already bought some of those big DVD folders so we spent like a couple of hours literally taking every CD and every DVD out of its case and into the folder and bagged up all their cases. Please note that what you see on the shelves in the piccie is actually about three deep of everything.

We then threw out a whole host of stuff and found homes in the upstairs storage cupboard for items that we really needed to keep. We then moved the black shelving upstairs into the spare room and and went to Officeworks to buy a desk for that area.

2.5 hours later we built this bad-boy...which is all ready and raring to be studied on (Hubs is starting his MBA this week). :) We then spent another half an hour building the new office chair.

So now our Office is really complete...it's funny, we both always say...let's keep it clean and tidy which usually lasts a fortnight tops before we get lazy and just dump things around...but this time we both REALLY REALLY plan on keeping it this way, especially because the rest of the house is slowly becoming "show room" material. xx
