Day 215 - Mother's Day Fun

Today my Bro and I took Emi out for a surprise Mother's Day afternoon. I just sent her an email during the week telling her to come to my home at 2pm and make no plans for the rest of the day.

We took her to The Barracks were they held a lovely little High Tea, followed by an advanced screening of Letters to Juliet. As you can imagine Emi loved it, although she wouldn't have cared what we did, as long as we were together.

Mmmm this berry cupcake was my fave, although the icing was insane so I had to scrape half of it off, way too intense!! LOL

They had little gift bags for everyone, the stand out item...these French Twist macaroons photographed below.

Eating these has totally got me pumped for my trip to Paris with Tarls in July where we are going to go to Laduree and pig out!! Mmm soooo good!!

We were actually all pleasantly surprised with Letters to Juliet. My Bro even brought his own car because he wasn't too sure if he would last, but he did!! LOL So in a nutshell the movie was going along totally fine and was actually quite cute...however sadly it was all totally ruined in the last 5 minutes where it turned into cheese central when they tried to make everyone have a happily ever after.

It reminded me of Full House, where everything had to be resolved, everyone had to love one another and forgiveness was given out by the handful...yeah there is SO much reality in that!! LOL I am SUCH a hater of Hollywood endings every time.

However despite the average last minute ending, we left the cinema laughing at the most unbearable of cringe-worthy lines when one of the characters fell over badly and another races to him and goes "are you okay, can you move??" which he responds..."only my lips"!! Bahahahhaa SO BAD but sooooo funny!! xx
