Day 131 - Never Changing Our Plans Again

For the past few weeks we had planned to go to the Sunny Coast with Monty noodles for the day, but when we woke up this morning we both didn't feel like driving for over an hour so thought we'd head to Wellington Point instead. Hmmm #epicfail1

We drove out there and boom were welcomed with big ass signs saying NO DOGS ALLOWED on weekends and public holidays. It's like are you serious?? WTF...why allow dogs during the week, but not on weekends and public holidays when the majority of people are actually able to do things with their family...families include pets!!

Erg...change of plan number 2 we then drove to Wynumn; by this time we had driven enough to have gone to the Sunny Coast. Anyways we arrrived at Wynumn and just as we got out, Monty deceides to go to the toilet right in front of a parked car with someone in it.

Now I am not talking a tiny teddy toilet break here, I swear Weeties had been brewing that beast for DAYS, we were like GF Monty, are you a freaking Great Dane?? We searched the entire car, no plastic bags, no tissues, no newspaper...nothing!! #epicfail2 After covering Mr Monty's ferralty with 1000 leaves, we literally ran away from the disapproving looks we got laughing at how gross our little boy was!!

After walking for ages we thankfully found a tap for thirsty Monty. He chomped so much at the water that when we were later admiring a beautiful bird, Monty sits there and realised that he clearly drank more than he could handle so he vommed it all up...charming Monty. #epicfail3

We finally arrived at the "Environmental Walk" which was basically just a random walk amongst the mangroves...yay...but it was shady and cool and Monty enjoyed it so it was fine. Anyways we reached the end of the walk and rather than going back the way we came we deceided to try a shortcut back to the car as it was really starting to heat up. #epicfail4

Our "short cut" ended up getting us lost, in the scorching heat, sweating up a mo fo storm, getting totally eaten by mozzies. I wasn't wearing the appropriate footwear so starting getting hardcore blisters, Monty's "tractor" started (the noise he makes when he is seriously dying of heat) and then he started to refuse to walk as he was that shattered as the new path had NO shade. So Husbo had to carry the little butterball until we finally reached the entry. #epicfail5

We went back to the tap we found on the way, so I waited with Monty to try and cool him down, while Hubs went to get the car. We hadn't eaten yet and were planning on stopping somewhere really nice but Monty was still carrying on with his asthma attack, so we figured we should just go home and put the little tookle in the pool.

Anyways as we were driving I spotted a Streets sign and said, want to stop for an ice cream?? Then we saw there was a bakery a few shops down and was like perfect let's stop there instead and actually eat something proper. #epicfail6

I cannot tell you how revolting the food we got at this bakery was. It's like, you're a bakery...baking tasty goods on a daily basis is your thing, how can you eff it up so badly?? Mind you we did have the gorgeous view to take the attention off our food...cylinder change, or lawnmower repair anyone?? LOL Yeah no...didn't think so.

So driving home me vowed never to change our plans again...we so should have just gone to the Sunny Coast, we would have had a waaaaaaaaaay better time!! LOL xx
