Today was such a fabulous day at WUni...first up the teacher gave us the challenge that we had to find 4 cards that most represented who we were and 1 that was the polar opposite...we had 5 minutes to do so...he then threw 100 cards on the floor and was like "go". We all raced up from the boardroom table and started on the hunt. I was all like "game on moles" and grabbed a whole stack...ahhh I make myself laff all the time.
The above was what I chose...gee wonder which card is the polar opposite...LOL. The whole idea of this was to understand the types of people we were and ultimately how our mind thinks/works and the strengths of them. It was so weird to see everyone having different coloured cards when he said "stop". Instantly I noticed the girls I most get along with had very similar colours as me and the ones that I haven't made that connection with didn't.
Our teacher was like, the colours aren't just for decoration, there is a reason why you chose the cards you did. And so today it proved that I am someone who's trail of thought and learning is that from the hardcore right brain. But guess what?? Hubs would definitely be a left brain person, so the total opposite...blue brain....opposites attract as they say. ;) The teacher actually said that you are more likely to have friends who are similar to you, but as a partner we naturally go for someone opposite as that is the way in which the universe ensures that we have all the skills as a family unit to survive.
Here's a synopsis for you to work out who you think you are. :)

I seriously love all this stuff, I find it fascinating and love the fact that we are all so different, it truly is a wonderful thing. So kids...are you left or right brained?? xx

We did stuff like that when I did Psych at uni. I remember being VERY upset, because I was pretty much an equal mix of both. Thinking about it now still sends me into a spin haha! Nick is def left brain, though!
ReplyDeleteYour WUni stuff sounds like a lot of fun :D
I feel the same actually. While a lot of my reactions tend to be emotion based and I've always been very 'big pictured', I don't identify with the right brain traits of taking risks etc. I tend to be more left brained with my actions and decisions with strategies.. I hate being late and I love routine/order.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty cool stuff to be doing at work though Sian!
