Cregennan Lakes are nestled in the base of the valleys of Cader Idris and as you can see from the photos absolutely gorgeous. They are the district’s water supply…believe me with the Welsh weather, there would never ever be water restrictions here!! ;)
The views throughout were out of this world, honestly they didn’t look real. The incredible stone mountains were mammoth, the photos in no way capture their enormity. Absolutely picturesque.

The land was so green, peppered with gorgeous snow white cows with the occasional black cow thrown into the mix. Black cowies soon became my favourites as they are so rare and hard to take a photo of…awe!!
In the afternoon we caught a full-sized steam train from Porthmadog (pronouced Port Maddoch although I kept saying Port Ma Dog LOL) from Ffestiniog Railway which is the oldest independent railway company in the world to the slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog in First Class…as you do. ;)
