Emi and I spent the day at the massive Westfield London today. Was great to see ‘the latest and greatest’ Westfield which opened nearly 2 years ago. Very different to good ole Chermie. The way it was designed was fabulous, the roof peppered with glass which let in so much light one would think you were shopping alfresco style.

The centre was split up into two sections the stock standard centre for all your typical stores - Zara, Top Shop, M & S etc and The Village Luxury Retail which was the uber posh side of the centre where they have these magnificent chandeliers, amazing marble toilets, lovely carpet, pretty fresh flowers, valet parking, hands-free shopping and where all the designer brands are – Tiffany’s, Prada, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Miu Miu, LV etc.

While Westfield London has half the amount of shops than Chermie it is spread out over 43 acres so there was A LOT of walking to be had.

I organized to meet up with Rachel, the Marketing Assistant of Westfield London who used to work at Chermie in my position (two girls ago) for my boss Jill before I left. She was really sweet and took me on a tour of the centre with the Campaign & Events Manager who has been with Westfield London since the launch of it, so was very knowledgeable. Was really lovely to meet them both.

After a good few hours of shopping, I shouted Emi to a champagne at their very swanky Searcys Champagne Bar upon recommendation from my family friend Val who had been there before, which was lovely…and at $20 a glass one would hope so!! LOL xx
